Save the Date: Sunday, March 31, 2 pm We're going to Shanghai with Carl and Toni Stubbs

Capitan Public Library invites you to take a tour of Shanghai with Carl and Toni Stubbs on Sunday, March 31 at 2 pm
Shanghai literally means "on the sea".  Elevation is 4 meters

This past year, the Stubbs traveled to Shanghai to visit their son, Evan and his wife, Jennifer. Formerly a librarian at both Ruidoso & Albuquerque Public Libraries, Jennifer took a job with the New York University, Shanghai campus in 2017, opening the opportunity for the Stubbs to travel halfway across the world to this city of 26.32 million

Shanghai is also called the Oriental Paris
Carl and Toni share photos and the logistics of traveling to and touring around Shanghai.  They walked (a lot), rode the magnetic levitation train, subways, taxis, scooters and bicycles to negotiate the streets to visit museums, art galleries, gardens and parks, temples, markets, a Communist memorial, an ancient walled city and an ancient water town.

Come learn all about their world-wind trip with a unique insider's view from their kids living there.

Both Carl and Toni are Capitan Library volunteers.
 Refreshments afterwards.
