Thanks to a small grant received from Otero County Electric Cooperative, Inc., the Capitan Public Library is pleased to announce a series of free art workshops for adults to be
held in the forthcoming months at the library at 101 E. 2nd Street in Capitan.
The first will be a two-part writers'workshop on Saturdays, October 10 and 17, from 9 am to noon, conducted by Linda Rodriguez, a published writer
from Carrizozo. If you have ever wanted to write a memoir for your
family or develop a short story, learn more about developing characters
or build momentum in a novel, here's your opportunity.
Music,
drama, silk painting and drawing workshops will be featured in the
coming months. Reservations are required as space is limited. For
more information and to make your reservation, please call Pearl Tippin at 575 354 7021 or e-mail
pearlofcapitan@gmail.com.
( Reservations MUST be made with Pearl, not the library staff.)
