Book Club meets 1st Thursday of the month at 10 am

 Beneath a Scarlet Sky: A Novel by Mark Sullivan

 June book recommended by Holly Braden with her review below:
It is also available on Kindle.  Most of the book
 is a factual retelling of the heroic story of 
northern Italians who smuggled Jews out of Italy into

 Switzerland during WWII. The characters are real

 and lovely to read.
 The action is pretty good too as the smuggling

 involved leading people through the mountains

 of northern Italy. It is an easy read that would
 make a good discussion about personal responsibility.
